BALKAN MUSIC

Since childhood, Adam Ørvad has played folk music from Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria, is well versed in the several styles of these countries, and plays this wonderful music like a native.

He has been educated by many different musicians - incl. Lelo Nika and Andrei Mihalache. He has travelled extensively in east-Serbia (Vlasko) and Bulgaria as well as other places during the last decade.

Adam Ørvad performs – either solo, accordion duo with Anka Zlateva, or with Bulgarian gadulka-player Mihail Delchev.

Adam Ørvad also educates and arranges courses in Balkan music if so desired, and is incidentally fluent in Serbian and Bulgarian.
